We Work Best Together 200 Miles Apart
Lame Horse Instruments are produced by the father and son team of Chris and Jeremy Jenkins in their respective workshops in Mansfield and Austin, Texas. Chris works in Mansfield, Jeremy in Austin. This arrangement seems to work well, for although they are separated by 200 miles of Texas, they collaborate daily, and ship parts and pieces back and forth between the workshops for each to work on.
Jeremy enjoys the Austin music scene with his band, Prayer for Animals. When Jeremy is not building instruments, he is spending time with his daughter, Sidney.
Chris spends about 40 hours a week practicing veterinary medicine at the Creature Comfort Animal Clinic. From 7 til midnight most evenings, he can be found in the workshop building instruments. He also enjoys spending time with and traveling with his wife of 37 years, Robin. Chris also has the best trained, smartest dog in the USA, Molly.
