Chameleon Sound Samples

Beth Wood recorded this version of her great song, Nearness, on a visit to the guitar shop one day. It was quickly done on my Macbook using a couple of $100 mics and no effects. Even my technological incompetence cannot keep a great performer down. I like this version better than the one on her CD, New Blood.

Susan Werner - St. Marys of Regret

In August of 2007 Susan Werner came by the guitar shop, and for once she was not rushing off to her next show. I talked her into doing some recording. These are raw recordings done in the guitar workshop - just 2 mics, Jenkins instruments, and Susan. There are no effects added, although the 2 mic setup seems to have added a slight reverb effect on a couple of songs. Talent like this doesn't need a fancy studio. She recorded several things that day. They are all so good, I have included several here.

Lawrence Juber Demos - A couple of years back, our friend and dealer, Richard Glick, got the great Lawrence Juber to record a couple of short demo tracks on a Southeast Asian rosewood Chameleon guitar that Richard subsequently sold. They are short, but show off the guitar pretty well. Here they are.
