Elko Sound Samples
All of these clips were recorded in about an hour and a half one Sunday afternoon in my living room. They are all completely raw. They are edited only for length. No effects have been used. No audio changes of any type have been made. These are exactly as they were recorded without any eq. One SE 5600 microphone was positioned about 2 feet in front of the guitar.
Amazing Grace - This clip of the familiar hymn was recorded on an Elko model with a redwood top, and bubinga back and sides.
Yesterday - This recording of the Beatles classic was done on a brand new Engelmann spruce topped Elko model - the first spruce topped Elko model. This guitar had only been played about 10 minutes before the recording. It was just finished in the nick of time for the 2009 Montreal Guitar Festival.
